Speaking of Geeky and Bhajans...and Choruses

I was in a Baptist Church in the midwest recently, and they just project

the words to their choruses on the wall. A friend's mother calls it

"singing off the wall." :).

They had this for a recent performance of Kathakali (ballet from

Kerala) here in Austin recently. Kathakali is story telling with

words and gestures, and very stylized, so it was useful.

 

I have also seen English supertitles shown above an opera stage in San

Francisco.
