I am sorry if I have offended anyone, or sounded harsh- but I stick to my guns. There is some thing as "righteous indignation" and I feel the circumstances warrant it. In any case, Amma knows my heart. Dear bala ~ I was never offended by anything you said. Since I get angry quite a bit myself, I would be the last to judge another for any feeling. Also, it is my sincere belief that feelings are part of who we are and of our growth. I don't believe it is every the feeling that is "wrong," but the expression only, which may be inappropriate. The man who tried to attack Amma, perhaps he was angry, and that would be an example of a very inappropriate expression of anger, yet, still, who am I to judge. Your expression of your feelings is a productive way of dealing with them, by "talking" to others who we hope will understand. I efel that anger can serve good purposes, such as to alert us when we need to deal with something. Recently I've dealt ewith some of my anger better, just by talking about to someone I trust. That's helped me to calm down & gain a better perspective, before I confront whoever I feel anger towards. This group seems like a totally appropriate place to discuss our true feelings about Amma's attacker. Since I work with so many mentally sick people, it's given me a different perspective than I might have otherwise. Didn't Amma say that when we'er spiritualy healthy, we'll also be emotionally healthy, or something like that? Sweta
Guest guest
You did not offend me. You simply spoke your truth. I could understand it even as I spoke my own!
