Unless some Luftwaffe bomber pilots got very lost..but the Germans had enough to deal with, fighting the western allies and the Russian front, to bother with an attack on India. I don't even think that there were ever any u-boats patroling that part of the Indian Ocean. Are you sure it wasn't the Japanese? : Yeah, this sounds untrue.
