Dear Arun ~ first, it makes me fall over in my chair with delight and amazement to hear of you knowing Amma from childhood. What a blessing. It is interesting that Amma would mention a soul departing to a higher plane; I have read of this in Western metaphysical literature, but this is the first time I have heard it in an Eastern context. Again ... Truth is Truth; different cultures may color the pictures differently or even use different pictures, but it is ever the same. When I was a small child, around 5 years old, I remembered having lived in a place "in the sky," with beautiful lush grass, fountains spurting water into the air, beautiful trees, and lovely people sauntering along talking with one another. I loved this place. I also had a memory of 7 levels, which I took to mean, when I grew older, to be 7 planes of existence where souls go to do different kinds of work. I have never wavered from my belief in this memory, and now it is echoed in Amma's words. Amazing. Hugs ~ Linda
Guest guest
Linda, In Dayalu's book "In search of God part two", he writes about how when his dad died, he felt his dad was communicating to him about having reached a beautiful world (plane?).. later on when he asked Amma about it, Amma confirmed with him that his father was indeed in a beautiful world, and very happy. Yes She has talked about subtle planes- but very little though. bala nierika wrote: Arun Raj wrote: i appreciate that question. i used to question Amma this way when i was little kid. Guest guest
My father also communicated with me after death about being in a beautiful world. He said "Oh, Ardie, it is so beautiful here. You can't even imagine it given your earthly experience. I never thought I would go to such a beautiful place." "With tears running down my face, I said "Oh Daddy, if you did not expect to go to such a beautiful place, you were the only one. Everyone who knew you expected you to go to a very special place." My father was my first spiritual teacher in this life. He taught me the value of silence, prayer, meditation, truth, faith and selfless service.
