Guest guest
Hi, I thought the traditional Indian view of death was that of a drop of water slipping back into the sea from which it came. In this sense, would not all souls "merge in God" (for however short a time) at death? I don't know; I'm asking. Because then it gets a little troublesome philosophically for me to understand if the drop of water has merged into the sea, does it exist as an individual? I recall reading about a hypnotic regression where the individual was asked to describe her "between lives" experience. She said something to the effect that she was kind of like a little blob hanging with a lot of other little blobs and it was just fine. So perhaps for some souls, "merging in God" is like that; I don't know. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya! I have many times heard that once a person meets the Satguru that they will have no more than three more lives. Also in a book about Sarada Devi She said this. So, since we never know how many lives a person had since their first meeting with a Satguru - who knows? sprose1 wrote: >In a message dated 8/25/2005 10:28:01 PM Eastern Standard Time, >Ammachi writes: >Sorry I made a typographical error: > >The last sentenced appeared as > >Tens of thousand millions of Her devotees have passed on with nary a comment. > >My intention was to write TENS OF THOUSANDS of Her devotees. >::Well, if people die their names aren't sent to Amma for divination. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, This child has no idea. My former guru (long since left the body) said that some devotees will be liberated before death, many will be liberated at death, some will go to Brahma Lokha, where life is much better, to finish.
