Heavy metal Mahisasuramardini Stotram

Om Namah Shivayah

 

Our sister Iswari introduced me to the heavy metal version of the

stotram. I was very interested in hearing about it, after learning

that the singer is the (former?) singer of Dinosaur Jr, a great

indie grunge rock band that I listened to back in the 90s (when I

wanted to move to Seattle, where all of the good music was at the

time, right Narayan? hee).

 

The heavy metal version of the stotram is a little strange at first,

but somehow it works. It made even more sense to me once I read the

full translation!

 

I am dancing around happy this afternoon. Probably because all over

the world my brothers and sisters are celebrating joyously. This

child is soooo blissful today.
