Guest guest
Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters: Even though Snehalata had just been wheeled from the ICU to a regular room I have difficulty conveying how strong, brave and courageous Snehalata sounded in our coast to coast conversation. Snehalata was not practicing surrendering. I felt that Dixie had experientially (totally) surrendered to Amma's will. This was not theoretical. Dixie was completely at peace whichever way Amma took Her. My feeling here is that Snehalata was not afraid of death because she KNEW (not thinking) but KNEW that Amma was going to take her wherever she needed to go. The metaphysical part mentioned in the previous post went something like - "Amma has the direction in Her hands". Again I cannot express it any better at the moment. Snehalata spoke English with a refinement that befits her status as a veteran English teacher. Sorry if I butchered her dialog in the previous post. Dixieji's devotion to Amma was tangible and rang completely true to this awestruck Son. No verbal hyperbole just the peace that comes with knowing what Amma will do with Trust in Her direction. I need to stop for this evening. Will try to post on Friday. Sleep well brothers and sisters. Love, George
Guest guest
George, This brought tears to my eyes. I was at the MA Center for Satsang last saturday night and when they were reading our the names on the prayer list and I heard Dixie's name, something inside me jumped. My heart leapt up into my throat and I started crying, feeling Amma's grace all around me come alive at the mention of Her children's names. I couldn't explain this reaction, but I felt sure that Dixie was embraced.
