Avram,

I hope what you are saying is true that he was not trying to kill.. what

concerns me also is that there were two others in the crowd who also assaulted

the

brahmacharies and then ran away. Half an hour ago , I chatted with a friend

of mine in amritapuri. He mentioned that Amma Herself noted those two people.

This makes me feel that there was a plot. maybe some religious fanatics ...

let us pray that no harm befalls Amma or the ashramaties .

You are right. Also, he made a statement that he had not fulfilled "his

mission." That would be an odd way to talk about not getting darshan. He was an

"inmate" at the ashram, for how long? And WHY was he evicted? This all must be

investigated thoroughly. My concept that nothing could happen to her has been

shattered. Avram

Umm, I'm a little dubious about this. Admittedly, it's

difficult to get close to Amma sometimes, but when you're

ten feet away, whipping out a knife hardly seems reasonable.

Admittedly, he probably has mental problems.

I don't know about mental problems. We need to know why he was evicted from

the ashram. there HAS to be a reason for this. And, why were there two

accomplices? If he wanted darshan all the asshole had to go was get on line.

Now that

I think about it, he is lying. No one prevented him from darshan the normal

way. Amma has lots and lots of enemies. And yes there are mentally deranged

people there too; there's no admission criteria, as we all know. Amma has God's

protection, but that is not a guarantee. We can'tl turn the ashram into an

armed camp. Avram

Avram,

I agree with you. the fact of the other two people who ran away , and the

fact he carried a knife with him, all tell me that this was a plot. if that

idiot wanted darshan, all he needed to do was get in line..

I know that some suggested praying for him, but in my mood, i personally want

to see him hanged.

There will be no compassion in my heart for a modern day Judas or pontius

pilate. sorry. The world has seen enough of mahatmas being persecuted and my

dear Amma has had more than Her share.

I dont care if Amma wants me to forgive him, but this is one command of my Guru

that i will lovingly disobey. I want to see him and his ilk wiped out from the

surface of the earth.

I am sorry to sound so harsh, but Krishna asked Arjuna to kill the kauravas,

not pray for them.

Her angry child,

Dear Bala:

I completely understand your rage. The need to vent is also

understandable.

In a day or two you will calm down. Anger is a sin in and of itself.

Amma says (in many tour stops I have attended) that we all sympathize

with a person who has a physical disability. That is easy. However

persons with mental disabilities are just as disabled. Amma says we

need to have the same amount of sympathy for the mentally ill as we

do the physically restricted.

Here come my two pesos worth.

If the man was part and parcel of a conspiracy, eg a rationalist

fanatic I respectfully submit that we should STILL forgive him.

Why? Anyone who attacks a Saint must possess extremely bad

parabda karma. Amma often says that it is not our job to wonder

about

why someone attained his or her bad karma.

Amma teaches that it IS our job to help and to serve and leave the

distribution of Karma to God.

Additionally many hindu theorists believe that the

absolute worst sin imagineable is to attack a Sadhu (Holy Person)

This sin results in countless cycles of karmic retribution.

Driven by bad Karma this fallen soul has snowballed his karma

resulting in many more cycles of intense karma related suffering (for

him)

I pray that God forgives the attacker(s) so they can be redeemed..

In a few days many of us may cool down. Amma instructed us to not

jump into react mode. Once again Bala I am with you in being upset.

Try to chill out, brother.

Namah Shivaya

Why did you have such a concept in the first place? Many saints and even

Avatars have met with violent deaths.

Hi Bala,

A little harsh I think. Unless, of course, Amma asked you to kill

Pavithran and not pray for him :-) LOL
