Dear Ananthasree ~ In the movie documentary, "River of Love," it is shown

that, once Amma began Her "work," which actually was almost as soon as She was

born, but I am speaking of the work where She took food to the poor, began to

have disciples collect around Her, started doing Krishna Bhava, etc., there

were people out to get Her. Poisoning was tried on several occasions, and even

Her own family considered poisoning Her and all of themselves because they

felt they could not live with the chaos of having a daughter who was not

"normal," who would not "behave" in the sense of agreeing to marry a man who

had

been chosen by them.

 

Ghandi was murdered; the Pope was shot; Jesus was crucified. In a book I

read, the channeled entities, with the collective name, "Abe," made the point

that many avatars are sent, and isn't it strange how we treat them? Inevitably,

we try to get rid of them, then after they are gone, many embrace their

teachings. Amma was always calm in the face of these attacks. One of the hardest

scenes in the movie for me to watch was Her own father tying Her small hands

to a tree and beating Her over and over with a rope. Thankfully, eventially,

Her family came around.

 

I hope this was an isolated incident and that there is no plot afoot to do

in our Mother. But, sad as it makes us, I think we must all remember that She

chose Her time of birth and will choose Her time and manner of death. I do not

believe it will be soon; She still has so much work to do. Jai Jai Ma
