Guest guest
Hi Jyotsna, ) LOL ... I used the term "white" to distinguish and highlight and not to discriminate ... hope you dont take offense to it! hmmm ... if you remember, along with me was another american lady who was in a crisis aparently coz she thought taking mantra from amma would be a problem or so as she did attend churches ... if you remember this ... then we have definitely met )) The reason I wore that, was I was not aware of the dress code ... as I wrote earlier, I had not attended any of amma's meeting's ... and came here thinking I would probably see some 50-100 people and would be out in an hour ... never expected the 7000+ attendance and never in my wildest moments thought that I would return home at 10AM the next morning!!!!!!!!!! It was nice meeting you and taking instructions from you ... Namaste! Warm Regards Narayan Ammachi, "E. Guest guest
Hi Narayan, ) LOL ... I used the term "white" to distinguish and highlight and not to discriminate ... hope you dont take offense to it! No offense taken. hmmm ... if you remember, along with me was another american lady who was in a crisis aparently coz she thought taking mantra from amma would be a problem or so as she did attend churches ... if you remember this ... then we have definitely met )) You'd be surprised how many people and situations I don't recall. (Getting a mantra is a big decision for a lot of people!) I do recall it was a "mixed" group of Indians and westerners. And I recall your striking outfit. You are a guy, right? I'd guess around 35 or 40? (Now if you're female and some other age I've totally blown it.) The outfit could even have been on a female--at first I thought I recalled it so, but then decided otherwise. The reason I wore that, was I was not aware of the dress code ... as I wrote earlier, I had not attended any of amma's meeting's ... and came here thinking I would probably see some 50-100 people and would be out in an hour ... never expected the 7000+ attendance and never in my wildest moments thought that I would return home at 10AM the next morning!!!!!!!!!! Yes, that's pretty funny. There really is no "dress code," especially for first-timers. I think I wore a blue sweatshirt for my first (fantastic) darshan! In my experience though, it's unusual for Indian men to wear striking colors. NO OFFENSE INTENDED! I may be all wrong about that. It was nice meeting you and taking instructions from you ... Namaste! Thanks. It was nice meeting you, too. Sincerely, Jyotsna Warm Regards Narayan Ammachi, "E.
