Dear Everyone ~ it seems this debate/discussion is taking over the group. It makes me think of the Bible. Depending on where one reads, one can find justification for one belief, and then another can find justification for the exact opposite belief. I am wondering if we can find a new topic to turn to? We are becoming like what GeorgeSon called the dog chasing its own tail. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda P.S. Of course, it is not up to me or anyone really what the group chooses to discuss, so I am sure that if people want to continue this thread, they will. Previously, I promised I was not writing anymore one this topic, but I couldn't help it.
Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya: Dear Linda: I have sincere respect and admiration for Linda's significant role in this E-Satsang. Have benefitted from Linda's keen insights into our main theme (no matter what the subject) Beloved Amma. With an oceanic amount of hesitation I am in a quandary over the your byline "Guru vs. Gurus". The discussion was begun by myself. The intention was to discuss whether it is appropriate to see other Saints when they bccome available. Itis assumed that your byline means keeping the holy company of ONE Guru versus two. So Lindaji I sincerely apologize for any discomfort generating from the thread. Ultimately I apologize for causing any members discomfort in this sacred space. I am new in Spiritual Life and often clumsy. The problem inherent in exchanges involving dual (not duel) Gurus is that the disciples consider it extremely personal. This is certainly understandable. How one relates to ones own PERSONAL guru transcends the common notion of intimacy. We are all a little different in our development. Some are FULLY RIPENED (this would not be GeorgeSon) Others are middle of the spectrum RIPE. (Still not me) Another possible class is the beginner in Spirituality green around the edges. (BINGO THAT would BE ME!!!) Two seedlets (AKA centavos) are offered in my posts. But remember this is a novice posting. I SINCERELY RESPECT ALL OPINIONS ON SEEING OTHER GURUS. Some of you can practice this and come away enriched. Others as Bala warns, may be derailed and deluded (SORRY FOR THE TRAIN PUN) As Nirmala offered we can ask Amma (Herself) if uncertain. There is no right or wrong way because some are more spiritually ripe than others. I have heard the spiritual metaphor of putting a fence around a baby tree to protect it from animal interlopers. Yet after proper sunlight, and gardening Seva that very same tree once mature can contain a tied down elephant behemoth. Anyone who has seen other Gurus and wants to share their experiences can write me off-line. I wish them the highest good in that endeavor. I will stay in my plant nursery until I grow stronger. We make our choices and reap the benefits. I pray that Amma blesses us in our path. As Amalia says "it is growthful" Ammas Little Sappling (HOPEFULLY NOT SAP), GeorgeSon P.S. I agree that this thread can dissolve
