He really loves non-dualism, as do many "intellectuals." Ôm Amriteswaryai Namah! Here is a quote from Mother in the latest additon of Amritavani's eVoice: Satsang Amma's Words Form and the Formless Amma: "Some people say, `Don't meditate on a form. Brahman has no form, so you should meditate on the Formless.' What sort of logic is that? Normally, we imagine the object of our meditation, don't we? Even if we meditate on a flame or on a sound, it is still based on imagination. What is the difference between that type of meditation and meditation on a form? Those who meditate on the Formless also rely on imagination. Some think of Brahman as pure love, infinitude, or all-pervasiveness. Some repeat, `I am Brahman,' or inquire, `Who am I?' But these are still just mental concepts. Thus, it is not truly meditation on Brahman. What, then, is the difference between that and meditating on a form? To bring water to a thirsty man, a container is needed. To realize the formless Brahman, an instrument or a prop is necessary. Also, if we choose to meditate on the Formless, how can we do so without developing love for Brahman? It is therefore nothing but bhakti (devotion). The personal God is nothing but a personification of Brahman." i just received this, i thought it was really timed perfectly, as She does with everything! :<D Aum Amriteshwaryai Namaha! muktimaa
