....Incidentally, the vedic day is measured from sunrise to sunrise and is

divided into 4 parts called as Gayatris. The time around 6AM or Sunrise

is called as Brahma Gayatri, Noon is Vishnu Gayatri, Sunset is Shiva

Gayatri and Midnight is Kali Gayatri!!! And it was around midnight, I

got the rude awakening ... I feel I asked for it :))

Dear Narayan ~ I'm so glad that Amma, in Her screensaver Kali form woke you

up in time to save you and your home. I also thank you for posting this

information about the "vedic" day. I wonder if you have more to share about

this.

I am aware of the Gayatri mantra. My sister once took it upon herself to give

me a spiritual name (that is another story). It was Vimala, which she

explained was the Shakti of Gayatri. Of course, I don't use this name. I would

only

use a name Amma has give me, and hopefully when She is here next year, I

will get to ask for one. But what do Brahma Gayatri, Vishnu Gayatri, Shiva

Gayatri and Kai Gayatri mean? It seems to me this division of the day is very

elegant. Jai Ma ~ Linda

There are many Gayatri Mantras. Each deity has one.

But here I believe he is talking about the Granthis. Please correct me if I am

wrong.
