Guest guest
George, One more thing I forgot to add- my usual disclaimer- whatever I say is of course from my limited ignorant view point- so I apologise if I have sounded argmentative/didactic/egositic in any of my posts. As Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi says instructions differ from person to person. As Nirmala said, the only obvious answer is "Ask Amma".. I wonder why i even opened my mouth in the first place. anyway I shall be silent henceforth ...( as much as I can ). InAmma, bala Dear Ardis Jackson: Saints occasionally visit other Saints. Paramahansa Yogananda visited Sri Ramana Maharshi in 1935. The following exchange was recorded: Yogananda asked: "How is the spiritual uplift of the people to be affected? What are the instructions to be given them?" Ramana replied: "They differ according to the temperaments of the individuals and according to the spiritual ripeness of their minds. They cannot be instructed en masse." Namah Shivaya, GeorgeSon Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! As Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi says instructions differ from person to person' BY NO MEANS DID YOU SOUND argmentative/didactic/egositic. I asked you for advice specifically. Others jumped in and that is the nature of this free-wheeling satsang. In fact I am still trying to digest your reference to Gopis in your original answer. There was tremendous wisdom in alluding to the creme de la creme of Prema Bhakti. Your bringing in the Gopis was exactly what I needed to hear. One of those slap in the face thanks I needed that moments occured for me. Secondarily why ask Amma if the answer is clear? What indeed would the Gopis do? In the case of Sri Rama would Hannuman join a different army? Stick to your guns Sri Bala. Please do not apolgise. As one addicted to word-play, I might have said, "creme de la preme". (A friend recently helped me realize how badly infected I am - by the word bacillus. May Mother administer a suitable antibiotic.) Om Amriteshwaryai Namah fg
