It was as if someone had caught me - I didn't feel Her hand, but I'm sure She did. And many, many other weird little things that happen that I would have to be really dense to not see Mother's hand. I truly believe that these incidents are Mother saying "yes, I am here". This child would love to be able to see Her everywhere and in everything, but I think I am certainly not on the express bus, but on the local bus. I get off and check things out and get back on the bus. She makes Maya too interesting and real. I pray for the day when we can all see that all is Her in Her wondrous play. She who is writing this whole script. Dear Prasadini ~ your comments about Amma touched me very deeply. How wonderful to have a Mother who appears to prevent your fall. I am like you. I get off the train and get caught up in the beauty or the sheer interestingness of maya, but, somehow I think this is part of it all. It is like a game of hide and seek ~ where is Mother? Come and find me. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Mother has created this beautiful playground. Sometimes it is beset with trials (I am thinking of the old Candyland game now, if anyone remembers that). But it is all Mother's Creation. Even Amma takes time to take joy in the animals, or the ocean, or something someone (like the little chocolate thief) does. I think our curiousity, our wonder is part of our coming to Mother. Even when we are off the train, we are still on it. It sounds a bit paradoxical, but I have always been struck by the paradox in spirituality. Mother creates this universe as a way of both hiding from us so we can find our way back to Her and also as a way of demonstrating that She is Everything. Here, again, is one of my favorite quotes from the Chandi, "...you are all creation existing as the mouth of the universe." I am happy She has created such an interesting and wonderful playground. Guest guest
And what's so interesting, and that I keep forgetting in this context, is that this playground is nothing but Mother Herself playing - all of the parts. A one woman show, writing, directing, acting. Whew, no wonder She needs a thousand hands. >It sounds a bit paradoxical, but I have always been struck by the paradox in >spirituality.
