Om Namah Shivayah!

I too have found feathers to have great significance. The sanctuary I

volunteer at is home to two beautiful peacocks, and every time I find

a fallen feather on the ground I immediately think of Krishna and

Mother. My altar now is home to many fallen peacock feathers and other

feathers found at significant moments throughout the years.

There is a wonderful book called Sacred Feathers. It is a compilation

of stories about people who have had significant and magical

encounters with feathers. The website is at

http://www.sacredfeathers.com/ I thought this book mught be of

interest to you, Erica!

Dear Prasadini,

I have also been blessed by the Amma who finds my keys and glasses for

me. Like you say it is 99.9% of the time. Last week I had a little

adventure with Amma. It was a Sunday and I could not find my glasses.

I kept on asking Her where they were, but I kept on looking "on my

own". Finally I gave up and sat down. Then She said "you won't find

them here, in the house." Since I always wear my glasses when driving,

I found it hard to believe that I had left them at work. But I took

out an old pair of glasses and drove over to my office to look for the

glasses. When I got there my boss was working at my desk. I asked him

if he had seen my glasses. He said "no, they weren't here on the

desk." So I went home and started my search all over again. Then She

said "I told you that they aren't here." So I surrendered to Her. The

next day I went to work and my glasses were in my in-box covered with

invoices and paper work. Someone had taken them from the desk and put

them in my box.

Another way that Amma has helped me many, many times is with a

digestive problem that I have. Sometimes when I am driving (usually

long distances) my body starts to go into spasms and I know that

diarrhea is close at hand. Sometimes it is so powerful that I know

that if I stopped at a public restroom that I wouldn't even be able to

get from the car to a toilet. When this starts to happen I start to

call on Mother. The more intensely I call on Her, it is though She is

holding my body very tightly. If I keep on calling and trust in Her

completely but also surrender to Her Will ( know You have more

important things to do than solve this for me... Your Will not mine) ,

She takes charge of the problem until I can get in the house and to the

bathroom.

Whenever Amma helps me in a way that I am aware of, I always remember

to say Thank You. In fact, with the keys & glasses blessing, it built

up over a period of time when I always remembered to thank The Doer of

All. Oh, to be able to see all action and all blessings as Her.

to know what we see to be unreal and to see what we know to be real.

Very wise words. I think they will go on the refrigerator as a reminder!

I'm REALLY glad that Mother helps you with your problem that happens

while you're driving! :-)

And YES! It is important to say "thank you". Usually it is such a relief

that the thank you is automatic.

But it think it is impoirtant to feel grateful for everything. That's

another little lesson this child needs to learn -
