Dear Keval ~ someone had previously posted this to the digest, and I was so taken by it, which is why I included "Amrita, Amrita" as the Train's name in the chorus. : ) Jai Ma ~ Linda P.S. Is there anyway to get to India besides flying? Can you take a boat? I am terrified to fly, yet feel more and more drawn to visiting Amrituapuri at some point. An Indian railfan (not an Amma devotee) told me that the Amrita Express is not exactly the fastest way to travel to and from Trivandrum, as it makes every milk-run whistle stop along the Kerala coast. But many of India's "Express" trains are hardly that - average speed is less than 100 km/h (60 mph). > > P.S. Is there anyway to get to India besides flying? > Can you take a boat? But if you're going to do India, you will have to overcome your fear of flying!! It used to be possible - even as late as the 1960s - to travel to India overland from Europe, but the road and rail links through Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan are no longer an option (gee, I wonder why??)
