I use to attend to local satsang group here in Helsinki. I once stared for long time her picture at the temple and started to feel very dizzy. I wonder what would happen if I looked her like that in "live situation"... Dear Pekka ~ one of the last times I was able to see Mother, She held me so we gazed into each other eyes. I saw the Universe in Her eyes. I don't know what else to say about this as it was an experience that defies description. Perhaps it is another one for me to paint. Jai Ma ~ Linda Aside to everyone from stage left: I believe Amma is really going to work on me, and not at all in the manner I would have expected, but it shows how much She really knows and loves Her children. I had pretty much stopped singing and performing and had written no new songs in months, until suddenly, out of the inspiring ground of the digest,Amma re-awakened this part of me. You see I have been embarassed to sing because my illness has changed my voice, but now Amma is sending met these songs, and I love to sing them, and I don't care how I sound ~ it is all in the feeling. Also, in listening to the bhajan tapes, I feel I am getting singing lessons from Big Swami, and I can feel my voice beginning to come back. This is truly a miracle. Also, because I am living in a trailer, I have felt I couldn't really paint, which is just a restriction I was putting on myself out of fear I believe. Now I am getting inspired with all these images of Amma that I want to paint, and I feel like I can just get in there and play like a child and Amma will guide my hand. I had been doing some colored pencil drawings ~ nice images, but colored pencil is a kind of uptight medium to work with. Someone in a previous digest mentioned envisioning Amma as a flying star trailing a rainbow. This has embedded itself in my mind, and I want to paint it. Then I had the feeling of wanting to paint Amma's feet. And now I feel I must paint the Universe-in-Her-Eyes-Amma. I have begun to realize that Amma sometimes answers our prayers when we haven't even asked yet. We haven't formulated something strongly enough to be a prayer. Also I don't know if I would have thought of asking Amma to help me out with my singing and my art. I have not hesitated to ask Her help with my illness, yet these other areas are where She has chosen to reach and help me. It brings tears to me eyes because to feel I am getting my music and art back are like the best presents my Mother could give. Guest guest
Namah Shviaya, The opportunities I've missed to look into Amma's eyes, I regret. It's said that every glance from a mahatma has a significance. The first time I looked into Amma's eyes, was when I requested a mantra. When She said "yes," somehow I thought I perceived that Amma could see Everything. Sweta nierika wrote: Linad wrote: "I saw the Universe in Her eyes.
