Dear ecjenson ~ I may be remembering this wrongheadedly, but I believe the person who wrote about focusing on the tracks ahead did mean to suggest this was not the best approach. I have to say, I love this train analogy so much. It is quite elegant, besides being fun. And being an artist, I can just see Amma with her bun and Her beautiful hair escaping from Her white shawl (or whatever you call the part that goes over the head). I think if we look at the train analogy from the perspective of spiritual practice, then we are in the cars, being in the present moment, whether that be looking at the beautiful scenery out of the window, saying our mantra, interacting with one another, being aware of Mother at the wheel, etc. This analogy inspired me so much. I had to go to bed at 11:00 this morning because I felt so sick, and while I was lying there, a song, based on this whole train thing, came to me. It is a silly little song, but when it is done, I will share the words with the group. Jai Ma ~ Linda
