Guest guest
And greetings from Finland I've been reading this forum for quite some time and I have felt happiness and joy reading your posts. I met Mother first time in October 2003 and ever since that occasion I have felt her guidence and presence in my life. I am grateful to her for all the blessings in my life. There is now more love and care in our family. More harmony and less conflicts. After three weeks I will go to Amritapuri, for the very first time, and I'm planning to stay there for four weeks. Cant't wait In Amma's Love, Pekka
Guest guest
Dear Sister Pekka, How wonderful to be able to go to Amritapuri so soon after your first Darshan. It sounds like you are able to really feel Mother's presence. Great! Have a blessed time at Amma's home! Guest guest
Namah Sivaya, Finnish names are quite exotic, I am a male This reminds me of a story that another finnish devotee told me some time ago. This happened in Amritapuri. He was in Amma's darshan and Mother whispered to him: "My dear daughter, my daughter". He was confused. What did Mother mean, he thought. Should I concentrate more to my feminine qualities, or what? Mother had a grin in her face. Well, he did not ask why Mother had called him her daughter. Another Finnish devotee, in his 80's, went also to darshan in that evening. And same thing happened, Mother whispered to him: "My dear daughter, my daughter". He got a little bit angry. Why did Mother call me daughter, I am a man. These two devotees had a chat what had happened and the older one said that if Mother once again calls him daughter, he will leave the ashram. Later that week he went again to darshan and the same thing happened, Mother called him her daughter grin in her face. But this time she pulled him second time in her arms and whispered: "My dear son, my dear son". And the old man was so happy! Mother's lilas... So, remembering that story, you can call me also your sister, if you want Jay Ma, Pekka Ammachi, "Arun Raj" <jaimaa@g...> wrote: > Namah Sivaya Sister! > > happy to know u are coming to Amritapuri. > > i'm right now in Amritapuri. Welcome to our group, Sir! lol...(-;> This was so funny about the "daughter" thing. That Amma! I had just read in one of the books from the bookstore (can't remember which one this was in). The Swami was talking about how Amma whispers into a devotee's ear and many times she will be saying one thing, but the devotee hears another. So what does that mean? I don't know. I just thought it was funny in your story because sometimes I don't know what the heck She's saying! Sometimes it does not even sound like a word but more of possibly syllables-are they Vedic or Malayalam? I don't know. I just know that feeling when I am all "Hers" at that moment..sigh... Just don't go out and buy a dress because of it! lol... I first met Amma in July 2002. She rocked my world bigtime!!! I'll share that sometime later. Enjoy Amritapuri. We have two Satsang members-and maybe 3 going there to live with Amma. We will miss them!! love and in service to Amma, adriane > He got a little bit angry. Jai Kali Amma my dear brother Pekka in Finland! i live in the USA, but y Grandparents on my late father's side were from Finland. His name was "Kalle" Rasinen, which i only recently found out.[They had changed it to "Charles" when he immigrated to the USA.] It sounds so much like my beloved "Kali". But i believe there actually is a finnish Goddess called "Kalma" which sounds so much again, like "Kali Ma". so very interesting. It is so wonderful that you are going to Amritapuri for 4 weeks! One of my favorite Amma videos is called "Footsteps to the Mother" which was done by a Finnish filmaker. i don't recall his name right now, but it was all about his journey to Amritapuri to see Ammachi the first time. Have you seen this video? Anyway, Pekka, have a very safe journey and may all your dreams come true! Guest guest
Dear Finnish sister muktimaa, Yes, Kalma is one of ancient goddesses in our mythology : "KALMA: Smelly Goddess of Death and Decay. Her name means 'The Stench of Corpses'. Very odiferous, she wafts about on a whiff. KALMA lives in TUONELA, the Finnish Underworld, and her putrid abode is guarded by SURMA. Although the smell alone would put most people off." Not very nice lady... More info can be found by googling "gods from finnish mythology". I know the director who made "Footsteps to the Mother", Mr. Taavi Kassila. I have to admit that I have not seen that film yet. However, "Darshan" is coming to theater in helsinki this month, I cant't wait to see it.
