Guest guest
Please satisfy this son's curiosity. Did anyone see Amma dance in Toronto this tour? I heard that only about three hundred and fifty were in the hall when Amma/Kali danced. Please share. Would greatly appreciate this. I think there were more than that. word got around the retreat pretty quickly that Amma was going to dance, and a lot of sevites dropped whatever they were doing to rush into the hall and watch the dance. Amma danced to a simple Ram bhajan. SOme people said she had entered samadhi, but I didn't have a good enough vantage point to see the expression (or lack of one) on Amma's face as she circled the dance floor. Keval p.s.. for those imagining Amma as the engineer on the train of life...Indian Railways actually have a train in Kerala called the Amrita Express! She seemed pretty inward and had her eyes closed during most of it. A few times she lost her bearings, but there was a ring of people all around, so when she bumped into someone, she just steered herself toward the center a bit and kept going around. When she was finished, she sat and meditated for a while.
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya. Word that Amma would dance after morning darshan was spreading like wildfire. Everyone was rushing to the hall so excited. One devotee (Karen Koerber) told me she had been praying for so long to see Amma dance. Amma danced once in Madison probably 1988, again after morning darshan. To Narayana. Someone said the last time they saw Her dance She didn¹t go all the way around the circle. I think there were more than 350 there. She went all the way around. She was definitely in another state. It was electrifying. When Amma left after sitting and meditating for a little, some of us sat near where She had been sitting and meditated. Very blissful. Jai Amma. premarupa > Please satisfy this son's curiosity. Guest guest
Aum Amriteswaryai Namaha! Amma was asking for Kanna when i was doing prasad around her She said "Kanna, Kanna...." Geetha said "go and get Kannan." Kannan came and stood in front of her but Amma looked past him and She continued "Kanna, Kanna...." Someone informed the Swamijis after sometime. All of them rushed to Amma and the annoucement was made Amma was going to dance. The hall was cleared of chairs and sound equipment. It happened so fast and so smoothly without much effort. We closed the western snack shop and all other stalls. All the bramacharis were summoned from the kitchen. Then Amma danced. It was sheer bliss. After she had completed the circle she sat down and many of us bowed down and did Namaskar.Someone said she has gone into Samadi. We cried as we thought She may not come back. Then she opened her eyes and stood up. Who is Kanna! Was She seeing Krishna in Toronto? Could someone enlighten us. Guest guest
Namah Shivayah The more I read about Amma dancing, the more I think that I missed something very rare and special indeed. My guess is that Amma must have seen Krishna or was longing for him even moreso. I've only seen Amma dancing on older tapes. It definitely rang of Kali, stomping around on egos. Ahhh! Such a blessing. With love, Erica Ammachi, ambika nair <ambi1748> wrote: > Aum Amriteswaryai Namaha! > > Amma was asking for Kanna when i was doing prasad around her She said "Kanna, Kanna...."
