Are there particularly

good/sensational DVD's which you think is worth collecting????

Dear bala ~ I wish the Bhajanamritam series were still availble. Volume 8 is

so wonderful because it has "Take Me Away," sung by Big Swami's wonderfully

resonant voice, "The Bee of My Mind," which is also wonderful, but what I like

the best is that it has the Arati and Closing Prayers. I may have made this

offer to you before, and if so am sorry to be repeating it, but I would be

glad to copy the tape for you and send it to you. It doesn't matter how far

away you are, I would still be glad to do it.

Okay, here are some other suggestions:

* Any of the English Bhajan Tapes, but especially English Bhajans, Vol. 1.

All of the English

Bhajan tapes (made by the Sante Fe Ashram) are wonderful, but this

first one has

such a sweetness and purity to it and wonderful songs.

* Tamil Bhajans, Vol. 1 has Amma Amma Taye, the song that is sung during

Devi Bhava ~

I am not too familiar with the other bhajans on that tape. Amma Amma

Taye is also

on the 1987 World Tour tape, which also has Siva Siva, Hare, Hare, a

wonderful song.

* Under "Multimedia" there is a wonderful CD, available for Mac or PC,

"Amrita Darshan,

From Truth to Untruth," The CD-ROM provides a glimpse into the many

inspiring

aspects of spiritual life with Amma, including an illustrated narrative

of her life story,

devotional chants, a guided meditation, animated stories, a section on

Indian mythology,

a tour of the ashram, and information on ashram life in Amritapuri and

the charitable

activites which it supports. Especially sweet is the illustrated

narrative of Amma's life

story, which is enchanting.

Of course, there are many others. I wonder if those of us who have favorites

could create a folder (Amma Bhajan Favorites?) in the files section and put

in some annotated reviews so we can just refer people who want to get more

information on bhajans. On Amma's site, there are no options for listening to

any selections from any of the tapes or CDs, so one is left with only the

titles. Hope this helps a bit. Nama Shivayah ~ Linda
