I don¹t have much time to read so I haven¹t read too many of Amma¹s books

although I would like to read them all. This summer I spoke with Swamini

Krishnamrita Prana, who runs the book store, about the idea of converting

all the important books (Awaken Children, etc.) to books on tape. She was a

bit skeptical, as she said one book written by some devotee had been

recorded, but hadn¹t sold very well. I told her that books on tape were a

popular thing, and that I thought the main books would sell very well if

they were recorded. What do you all think? Would you buy them? If so, please

consider contacting the folks at Mother¹s Books and telling them so:

Yes! I would buy them. I will not buy cassette tapes. However, I will gladly

buy Amma books recorded on CD (OK) or available as MP3 (better). I have a

feeling they would sell well if done well and properly advertised to Amma's

children.

Also, I recommend that MothersBooks consider selling individual bhajan MP3s

over the internet (similar to Apple iTunes). The nice thing about selling

downloads is the profit margin can be much higher since MA Canter owns the

copyrights (more $ for charities). I have a feeling lots of Amma's children

would love to purchase and download their favorite bhajans as MP3s.

Most successful books get converted to audio books. Our local library has

hundreds of them. Surely you've heard of the concept. Maybe you're asking

for examples of Amma's books on tape. I don't know of any. Dozens of Swami

Paramatmananda's lectures are available on audio tape, though. I'm

suggesting that putting Amma's books on tape (especially the Awaken Children

series) would be a worthwhile endeavor. I suspect that even a lot of people

who already own the books would also buy the tapes.

this is a great idea! in fact, it was the first thing i thought when i

saw the original question. since internet is the wave, selling as mp3s

is a really great idea. and eventually maybe selling the dvds of

mother, too. cause now, there are some services where you can download

movies from online!

To make this thing work, you need to talk to AMMA directly and tell her the

details and she will direct people to do it.

Please try this approach, noneed to contact anyother people. talk to AMMA

directly when ever u see Her.

That will be late November. I don't know if I'll bother her with something

like this. But I may bug Swamini Amma (Krishnamrita) again.
