Guest guest
I was referred to this group by someone on the group and promptly joined when I realized that it existed. lol My name is Katie and I'm a follower of Mother Ammachi. I was referred to this group due to a dream that I had last night. I'm looking for possible interpretations of it and ammasmon was quick to realize that I may get a good interpretation of it here. So, without further adeu, here is the dream: I had a rather odd dream that involved "doomsday" in the form of giant tidal waves, elevator-type rooms and mother Amma. Apparently there were giant waves that were going to destroy everyone and everything and while everyone was panicking, I accepted it, called up my dearest friends to keep in contact with them through the end and focused myself on attaining enlightenment. Then several people (I think all were strangers) and myself got into this large glass elevator-type object and waited. Something told me to put my hands together at my forehead and focus on a green orb of light between them and focus on making it smaller and concentrated if I wanted to attain enlightenment. While I did this, the first round of waves came around and our elevator was untouched, then the big one came, easily 100 feet tall and we were spared again. This entire series of events happened again later in the dream as well. Then the dream cut to a different spot, where people were reuniting with others. Apparently no one had died in the waves and very little (if anything) had been destroyed. I found my best friend (whom I called) and he was perfectly accepting of everything in his life now (his life isn't the best thus far). Then we donned white robes and joined Mother Ammachi as renunciates, though in life my friend has little interest in spirituality. There we sat at a mini-alter with gold-colored ghee lamps and everything and she was instructing me on how to properly do puja, straightening my posture as she did and tucking in my knees. Then the second wave sequence happened and my friend and I (still in the white robes) got into another glass elevator-type thing and everything happened the same way, though we were completely calm, knowing that nothing bad was going to happen. That was all I really remember but it was extremely vivid and very interesting and I'm definitely keen on getting the opinions of other like-minded people. =) Jai ma! -Katie
Guest guest
Om Namah Shivayah Katie! I read this earlier on Ammaschildren.com and recently posted a short reply. But to take it a bit further, here is a more detailed description of what I think it might mean. It's just my humble opinion, for what it's worth! The main feeling I get is that this was Mother's way of telling you that you are protected by her grace. In reality, all of those that were in the ashram were untouched by the tsunami, and there have been other accounts of flights containing devotees and all sorts of potential disasters where the devotees were put in her protection. Mother does not only help those of us who are devotees of course, but I believe that our intense connection to her allows us to see it more clearly as a blessing when it does happen. Amma also would have more of a maternal, personal connection to those who have accepted her as their Mother. If you have been worrying about things in your life, this was Mother's way of telling you not to worry. It's all part of her play and "everything is under control" so to speak. The aspects of the dream where she was instructing you in puja may mean that not only is she protecting in the third dimension, but also protecting on a much broader spirital level. I also would be inclined to jump ahead and say that it may also relate to what Mother has talked about in regard to 2005 being a year of disasters and calamities. Let us hope that this was not a prophetic dream! Even without various interpretations, the simple fact that she appeared to you in a dream is a great blessing. It rarely happens, and when it does, it is always very moving in some form or another. You can beg and plead for her to appear to you in a dream, but she won't...if it is not her will. I have suffered the frustrations of that exact situation! Welcome to the group! Guest guest
Namaste, When I dream of a tornado, earthquakes or flood etc, for me it is precognitive. Your dream sounds to me like a prophetic or visionary dream. These dreams come from the mystical level of awarness. It may have a personal message or may contain a universal truth. The vision is on a much larger scale than you commonly associate with dreaming. It has a totally different quality of awarness about it. A vision has many qualies within it: insight, understanding, expandsion, relization of the oneness of all life, power and love. It is totally different than a normal dream and you just know. Are you having a sudden change in life? An upheaval? A huge rearrangement? A turning point? This is what I see in your dream..... Your "Self" is in the see through room and you have an expanded vision within....You have something that is about to threaten your "personalities" or aspects of yourself (represented by the friends or strangers) that you no longer need or want...you keep intouch with the "good" aspects of the Self....You are focusing on attaining enlightenment and are expanding the Self within....Something told you to put your hands together on your head and focus on a green orb of light (growth, healing, expansiveness, creativity) you are healing yourself. When you did this a tital wave hits and you are untouched within the true Self. You have this power within you for any obstical that comes your way. You are untouchable. That is what the message in the dream is. Then the dream cut to a different spot, where people were reuniting with others. Apparently no one had died in the waves and very little (if anything) had been destroyed. You have merged all aspects of the Self together. You put on a white robe, an initiation being given to you by Amma. (White- truth, purity, light of God, protection, guidance.) Then you are at an alter, a place of worship, commitment within the self, A sacrificing of the old and opening to the new, awareness of spiritual nature or God within. The lamp is the light within and you posture must be straight for your back is the conductor of kundalini power of life force; whether your back is straight, bent, weak or strong means how you are channeling the spiritial power in your everyday life, make sure you follow Amma's guidance so that you have the kundalini flowing strong and tucking in your knees (your support system) Amma is your support system. Then after Amma obviously initiates/blesses you and sends you on your way, the tital waves once again try to break your spirit down, but you hold strong. Never wavering. Stay calm in waking life and know that Amma is guiding you. At Amma's Lotus Feet, Robin I had a rather odd dream that involved "doomsday" in the form of giant tidal waves, elevator-type rooms and mother Amma. Apparently there were giant waves that were going to destroy everyone and everything and while everyone was panicking, I accepted it, called up my dearest friends to keep in contact with them through the end and focused myself on attaining enlightenment.
