Guest guest
Prashanti! That was indeed the song I was looking for. It has been driving me crazy ever since I heard it and couldn't place it. Much thanks! Does anyone know where we can find Devi Saranam on which Amma CD? Jai Ma~ Ananthasree
Guest guest
As I said, the song called "Devi Saranam" in the bhajan books is a different song entirely, so I'm thinking the one Prashanti is talking about must have a different title. Just FYI, in case you go to buy a tape/CD with that song... Iswari Ammachi, "Ananthasree" <michellewalsh88@h...> wrote: > > > > Prashanti! > > That was indeed the song I was looking for. Guest guest
There are 2 songs that start Devi Saranam in the Bhajanamritam books. The older one goes 'Devi saranam saranam Amme ...' and has a simple repeating melody for all the verses. The newer one is a fast song that begins 'Devi saranam durge saranam'. I know that the newer one is on a tape, and I think the older one is, too. That one is available on Old is Gold, Vol. 1... I know it's not the one you are looking for, but still a great old bhajan. Guest guest
Ah, mystery solved! Thanks Nandu. The one we're talking about here is called "Devi Saranam Durge Saranam." The earlier one is just "Devi Saranam." The newer, faster one is in Bhajanamritam IV, p. 41. It looks like it's not available on CD, but is on Amritanjali tape #62.
