Amazing, you had Guruvayur Kesavan's darshan! wow!

Guruvayur is an ancient Vishnu temple in Kerala. One of the most

celebrated and famous temples of Kerala, and of India too.

According to legend, Sri Krishna worshipped a statue of Vishnu in

his lifetime, which was installed by Guru (Brihaspati) and Vayu

(wind) at this site after his death. Hence the name Guruvayur. The

diety is considered to be extremely powerful and it's worship is

also very very beneficial.

Kesavan was (is?) the temple elephant. You will often find a

painting or a hanging mat of Kesavan in most Malayalee (belonging to

Kerala) homes.

For more info on Gurvaurappan (Vishnu), see

http://www.guruvayurdevaswom.org

For elephant info, see

http://www.guruvayurdevaswom.org/oelephant.shtml (also click on

the elephant names at the bottom of the link to see the "hall of

fame" elephants! :))).

That probably explains the Vishnu connection to your elephant dream!

Much, much thanks for this insight! That dream was several years ago,

before I even heard the name 'ammachi". As I went through those old

dream journals, I found many dreams that seemed to be connected to Amma.

I have never heard of the temple you mentioned, and look forward to

exploring the links you gave.

Jai Ma!
