Guest guest
Dear will have brothers and sisters in Amma, Now is the time to begin sending in names for this week's prayer list. You can send your name(s) to my direct email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) in which case, please put Prayer List in the subject line (I am so behind on emails that unless I feel an email is of utmost importance, it is getting back burnered for the moment. You can also post your request to the digest. At this point I am leaving all names sent in for the list on the list through August 31, unless the sender asks otherwise. After August 31, I will be starting the list over and will give everyone plenty of notice so that if there are names on the current list that you wish to remain you ample time to let me know. Thank you all for participating in the Prayer Group. This is such a powerful seva, and many prayers have been answered. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Now is the time to begin sending in names for this week's prayer list. Please send them by no later than 12:00 noon (Mountain Time) on Thursday, for posting in Friday's digest. Please send the name(s) to my personal email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) and write Prayer List in the Subject Line. This will help me a lot as I am very behind on emails, and this way I can identify Prayer List requests quickly. You can also post your prayer request in the digest, which I check every day for prayer requests, even if I don't have time to read all the posts. I want to thank you all once again, for participating in this prayer seva, each in your chosen way. You are giving me the blessing of having a seva that I can actually manage; you are blessing all those who are on the list with your prayers; and you are blessing the world by the inclusion some people have made that are of a more general nature. For those of you who are new, I want you to know that there are some pictures of the prayer list that Amma blessed while She was in the US. Many devotees from this list took the prayer list to Her, and each time, She blessed it. One of the pictures is in the top line of folders, entitled "Prayer List," the others are separate picture files at the end of the Photos section, each entitled "Prayer List." These are quite beautiful, not to mention reminders for all who miss Amma now She is gone ~ we can still see Her Presence in these pictures. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names. The names for this week's Prayer Group are: Aaron S. Guest guest
Dear brothers and sisters in Amma, In terms of feedback on the prayer list, the idea of having it be quarterly and then starting it over seemed to be the consensus. I did not hear too much about the other issue I was concerned with, which was whether to include the reasons for prayer or not. As I have been reading the prayer requests, I have noticed that many people simply list the names they want prayers for, while others also give the reasons. Consequently, I have decided to list the reasons, along with the name, if this information is given. I have already written to all the people who sent in prayer requests with reasons included to ask their permission. So here is what I suggest: 1. If you don't want the reason stated, just give the name(s) 2. If you don't want the reason stated in the list, but you want to include it in your request, just let me know to not inlcude the reason on the list (I realize that there is a degree of activating the power of prayer via the use of the "word," written or stated, and some people may be stating the reasons only for that purpose. 3. Otherwise, if the reason is included with the request, I will include it on the list. I'll try this for a couple of weeks and you can let me know how it feels to you when doing the prayer seva. One person wrote and said it seemed more meaningful to know the reason, yet I know that many don't feel a need for that. So it will be a brief trial period, and then, depending on what people have to say about it, I'll continue it or not. Jai Ma ~ Linda
Guest guest
Dear brothers and sisters in Amma, You may start sending in names for the Prayer List at any time now. Please include the length of time you would like the name(s) on the list, up through 12/25. If you would like the purpose for the prayer mentioned, include this information with your request. Please send prayer request to my personal email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) or post in the digest. Requests are taken up until 1:00 pm on Thursday so that I can update the list and send it in for Friday's digest. Guest guest
Dear brothers in sisters, You can begin sending in any name(s) you would like to have on the prayer list. I didn't receive any feedback on allowing one extra day to send in names, so I am going to go ahead and do it. This means you have until 1:00 pm on Friday to send in any name(s), and they will be posted to the Saturday digest, for use on Sunday (or any other day). Please indicate how long you wish the name(s) to be on the prayer list (up through 12/25, the end of this quarter). Also, if you wish the reason for prayer to be included, you may put that in your email. You can also state the reason you wish the prayer(s) for, but indicate to me not to post in the list. Send any name(s) to my personal email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) and include Prayer List in the subject line so that it will not get lost among all my not yet answered mail. Or you can post your request in the digest. Any name(s) received after 1:00 pm on Friday, will automatically go on the next week's list, with the appropriate amount of time indicated, starting on that day (up through 12/25). Your prayer seva helps ... it has helped to alleviate difficulties, helped ill people become better, helped needs become met, and so much more. And we all know it is Amma, but She hears us and responds. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda "Love and beauty are within you. Try to express them through your actions and you will definitely touch the very source of bliss." ~ Amma
Guest guest
Please extend my family on the prayer seva until the end of December. Thank you so much for all of your efforts in keeping this going. I really do believe in the power of this prayer circle. My daughter had some test that came out questionable and she need to follow up with a specialist. Please pray for her health. Yesterday I went to see the Dali Lama at Rutgers University. Had to leave early so I didn't have time to do the prayer seva before I left. I was really tired when I got home but I did the seva offering my meditation to Amma as my prayer. When I was finished I felt so much better. It was great. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. So many of the U.S. Satsangs and members of this digest are busy helping with hurricane relief, and there are no words that can convey the thanks all of us feel, especially those of us who may not be able to be part of the action. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names. And again, we have a terrible tragedy, with many victims to collectively offer prayer for, during our regular Prayer Day, Sunday, and any other time we choose. The names for this week's Prayer Group are: Amma (for Her welfare and the safety and good health of Her body) Olu Phillips-Alonge amarnath & samarpana Vidinyu Ambani Amritavarshini's Pacific Northwest Sister Kingsford and Duke and Kevin Ameyaw Anupama & her grandfather, Web (recently deceased during hurricane Katrina) Amber Arends Amritavarshini Elan & his mother, Tustil Ananda (for shelter & support) Jim Ashley Joan & Joe Avallone Blanca B. Guest guest
Dear brothers and sisters in Amma, Please start sending in your names for this weeks prayer group at any time. You have up until 1:00 pm on Friday. If you wish to include the reason for the prayer in a brief way such as (for healing) or (for support) or (for financial success), please feel fee to do so. Also please feel free to state the reason for your prayer and ask that it not be listed. I have felt that for some people, just writing it down and knowing someone is reading it also is helpful. If you wish the name(s) to be on the list for longer than one week, please indicate the duration, up through 12/25. Please send your requests to me at _Nierika_ (Nierika) , or post them in the digest. Just today I had a letter from someone on the prayer list who said he felt the prayers were really helping him with his health struggles. Bless you all for participating in this seva.
