My work has put me into the position to serve many people in crisis. You

may already use these, but here are some ideas I try to use at work. Take a

deep centering breath & chant your mantra before responding. Sometimes I

mentally chant Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah, & ask Amma to help a person while

trying

to visualize Her rubbing their heart. Also, I ask for Her to give me the

words to say to them, for Her to help them through me. If you calmly reflect

back to them what you see they're experiencing & feeling, it can help them to

feel understood & then calm down. At least one client expressed appreciation

for the calmness I shared with her, but I believe it was actually Amma,

through the mantra Amma gave to me, that gave her that calmness...

....You know how Amma receives our letters as we write them? When copying

the prayer list's names & issues by hand, I believe I distinctly felt Amma's

prescence. We could copy the names by hand, & precede or follow them, by

asking in writing for Amma to help them, in addition to the other ways we pray.

This is just an idea I wanted to share with everyone.

Dear Sweta ~ what wonderful ideas you have in how to use the tools Amma has

given us. Your calm reflection, I believe, IS Amma expressing through you, yet

is also sounds to me like you, at least at your job, have been able to

achieve something Amma speaks of a lot (at least in the Awaken Children series

....

lol ... and that is the Witness State. I have only experienced brief glimpss

of what it feels like to be in that state, but it is truly amazing ~ totally

accepting, clearly perceiving what is without judgement, loving (although

loving doesn't seem like a strong or accurage enough word to express the

feelings towards others in this state), selfless, yes fully grounded (in the

Self).

Thank you for reminding me of this. My illness has kept me from experiencing

these subtle (or not) states because it keeps my mental self focused on all

the places I am experiencing pain. (I said subtle or not, becuase, when you

think about it, the Witness state is very paradoxical: as small as a tiny sea

shell, as large as the universe). Thank you again, dear sister. Love ~ Linda
