One of Amma's devotees is having a very hard time financially, I have emailed to ask for prayers a few weeks back, but apparently things have become worst. I don't even know if it is appropriate to ask for donations for her, she would probably strangle me if she knew I was asking, but in my heart I have to say something....she is the Mother of two grown boys, I believe they are around 19 - 20's and I think one if not both are going to collage. They are both sweethearts. She has had her car repossessed, in the process of filing bankruptcy, people rear ending her, etc, its one bad luck after another but yet she kept her head high...She is very worried about this months bills, worried about having to foreclose and move, house payment, electric, water, etc. ...She is a blessing to be around and a sweet women to know. This will give you a little about who she is and what she she is all about. Again please forgive me if this is unacceptable, my apologizes. The only way I know of for you to donate is to send to her address: Adriane Bradley 1284 Stephenridge Dr Harvester MO, 63303 Dear Robin ~ I am not the one to say if asking for monetary help for Adriane is appropriate or not. But Amma has something to say about this. These two accounts are from "Sacred Journey." A little Swiss boy had won a monetary award for his playing, but he felt "it really belonged to Amma. He felt that She was the one that played the flute...and he wanted the money to be given to Her to be used for charity...the boy's younger sister was sad because she felt she had nothing to offer Amma...One week later on her birthday, her grandparents gave the young girl some money for her own enjoyment...Intead..."she came for darshan and insisted that she wanted this money to be given to help others. Amma accepted the offering, and the girl's desire was fulfilled." "Amma has said that if we eradicate poverty, then many of the prevailing social evils will be cleared away. Since we all have to work for our livelihood, Amma suggests that everyone should work an extra half hour a day for the poor, as a service to the world..." (pg. 129, 130) Each must follow his/her own heart in this matter, and I will be sure that Adriane remains on the prayer list through August 31. Thank you for sharing this, Robin. Too often we are willing to help with the big issues like the tsunami, but when it is one person, it is harder to understand how what little we might give may help. I have heard it said what a person gives comes back to them three-fold. I hope this will be true for Adriane. Jai Ma ~ Linda
