Everything exists within the shining toenails of Shri Guru. *"i bow to She Who manifests the bliss of Supreme Divinity, Who grants the highest happiness..."... Dear muktimaa ~ is it Guru Purnima now? When is the exact date? Reading your passage from the "Guru Gita" reminds me that, last night as I was reciting the Chandi Path, I was in the chapter with the 108 names of the Goddess. As I read, and read ... all of a sudden, this lightbulb went off in my head. "Oh! This is Amma." I was awestruck by how the names fit our beloved Amma so well, so I will share just a few. This is from the section entitled "shri durgashtottara shatanam stotram." 1. Embodiment of Truth 2. Embodiment of Virtue 3. Lover of the Universe 22. The Essense of all Mantras 23. The Intrinsic Nature of Being 25. Infinite6 27. The Intensity of Realityghter of Ability 34. Beloved Jewel 46. Beautiful One 51. Creative Energy 54. Every Pure One 55. Energy Which Pervades All 60. Spotlessly Pure 80. Ever Pure One 82. Incomparable Beauty 92. One of Great Strength 100. Who Came From the Waters I think that is enough to convey the idea. For those unfamiliar with the Chandi, the Goddess is actually four Goddesses who emerge from one: Durga, Kali, Laksmi, Saraswati. These are all the Goddesses that join on our behalf to slay the demons of negative thought. Is this not what Amma does with us all the time?
