Guest guest
Dearest Family, I don't really know how to start this email or what to say or if I should even say anything. I'm not one who usually "takes charge" of a situation, I wait for someone else to do something about it, but I feel a need to speak out as my heart is breaking for one of our own. One of Amma's devotees is having a very hard time financially, I have emailed to ask for prayers a few weeks back, but apparently things have become worst. I don't even know if it is appropriate to ask for donations for her, she would probably strangle me if she knew I was asking, but in my heart I have to say something. She is one of the most positive people I know and very upbeat. She is very much a people person and although this is a very personal situation I feel the need to speak up for her. Some of you might have even met her over the tour in Fairfield or Chicago. She did A LOT of seva. She did line seva, greeter seva and several other kinds of seva. She barely had a moment with Amma and the only time she did she was doing seva, flower seva, prasad seva, lap seva etc. It just pains my heart to know how much she is struggling. I finally saw a crack in her "firm" exterior foundation and I feel the burden has become too much for her to bare. Her name is Adriane Bradley, she is the Mother of two grown boys, I believe they are around 19 - 20's and I think one if not both are going to collage. They are both sweethearts. She has had her car repossessed, in the process of filing bankruptcy, people rear ending her, etc, its one bad luck after another but yet she kept her head high. Adriane is obviously burning off a lot of Karma. From being rear ended she has trouble with her hip and neck. She is very worried about this months bills, worried about having to foreclose and move, house payment, electric, water, etc. She is worried about running out of food. She has called churches and other "in-need" programs who will not help her out. I feel that I must become her advocate and help her in her time of need. Please forgive me if I am in some way out of line but I had to try for her. I am asking for anyone to please make a donation in whatever way possible, food cards, money, check, etc. If you would like to help her out in another way, she has a home based business The Pampered Chef. You can go to her web site at www.pamperedchef.biz/adrianebradley I think she receives a small portion of this but you would get something in return for your gift. Also if you go to and type in Adriane Bradley it will bring up things that have been by her or written about her. The first 3 or 4 web sites are about her. She is also coordinator of our satsang, the one who started it, brought it together, and plans most fund-raising. (with Amma's grace) She is a teacher for special education children and is on her feet at least 25 hours a day. I don't think she sleeps at ALL! She is an advocate for anything and everything. She is a blessing to be around and a sweet women to know. This will give you a little about who she is and what she she is all about. Again please forgive me if this is unacceptable, my apologizes. The only way I know of for you to donate is to send to her address: Adriane Bradley 1284 Stephenridge Dr Harvester MO, 63303 Please write "Amma" in the memo of the check or on any donations so that she doesn't think it is a mistake receiving anything. I am hoping to remain anonymous, although I am sure she will eventually find me out. Also I think it would help her to have letters of encouragement, COL's etc. Maybe if our "colorful" and inspiring writer could send some words of upliftment that would make her day. There was never a time I didn't smile getting a COL letter from anyone and she could use them right now. I think she is on the list but I am not sure. Prayers a of course a BIG welcome! If anyone has any other suggestions please email me personally at lilymoonjewel. I thank you in advance for all your thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
Thank you for bringing this up. You did absolutely the right thing in posting this here. I will add her to my prayers. With Amma's grace, she will be OK. -yogaman Ammachi, Robin Wilson <lilymoonjewel> wrote: > Dearest Family, > > I don't really know how to start this email or what to say or if I should even say anything.
