Namaskarams! thank you Manoj for that wonderful clarification of things...i think i finally understand...things were much looser there. and they used the Lunar system, as well as having (probably) their own system of naming and numbering the years, such that it could be extremely difficult to actually track down the authentic birthdate/time....thanks a lot for your explanation. and yet we have accurate timing for the birth dates of Paramahansa Yoganandaji, as well as that of Sri Ramakrsna Paramahamsa...but then Yogananda's parent were educated, i believe, and he worked for the British/Indian railway system...so perhaps the Gregorian calendar was more accessible to them...Also i believe that we have Yogananda's birthdata from Swami Sri Yukteswar, His Guru, Who most definitely WAS a Jyotishi. as well, i believe that Sri Ramakrsna's father was a Jyotishi himself (as well as a Brahmin.) In Amma's Love, and In Her Service as ever, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!
