I feel that guru hopping would be more like trying to have two different teachers for the same subject in school. We would get the same information, but it might be presented differently, or uniquely enough, that to try and follow, spend time with and learn from two different teachers would be not only difficult, but perhaps an exercise in futility. Yet if I am in an woman's art history class, studying art by women, and I go to see the opening of an exhibit by a contemporary woman artist or to listen to a lecture about Frida Kahlo or Berte Morisot, would be very different. In the second example, I am adding to what my teacher offers me. In the other case, I may be conflicting. Wow, I think I made a really simple idea very complicated. But I really wanted to showet the difference I believe there is, using a personal example. (Too much English in college. LOL). And, to be personal again, I did have to make such a choice in teachers several months ago. Yet having done so, I feel no less for Those I did not choose, while at the same time feeling greater closeness and communion with the One I did choose. I hope this makes sense to someone. :::scratching head::: Blessings ~ Linda
