Guest guest
In all the years I've been to see Amma, I've never seen her as playful and child-like like I saw her in DC for the past three days. I saw her throw hershey kisses, laughing and giggling. I saw her take a lot of time with nearly everyone, seeming to cherish every moment with each of her children (of course I've seen her like this before, but not for 3 days straight- there was something extra special in her lightheartedness). I saw her throw her head back and laugh heartily when something struck her. Before she arrived, we were wondering if she might be a bit somber from the tsunamni relief aftermath, but she was far from somber - she seemed to be having the time of her life. One interesting note - the attendance at DC was not up to what it has been in the past. Not sure of the reason - the hotel, although expensive, was centrally located. The publicity and media coverage was terrific. The three days seemed to be well organized and well received (I was part of the team so I am a little biased but the feedback we received seemed to support that view). Devi Bhava ended around 7:15 AM with the numbers just above 3,000 So it was terrific to see Amma in rare form, although it''s great to see Amma under any circumstances. If I think of anything else to share, I'll pass it along. -Achyut
