Guest guest
Can anyone suggest names of some bhajans that are very fast-paced, like Jhilan Jhilam? I'm asking this because I power walk around the neighborhood as my exercise, and I thought it would be so nice to listen to some fast-paced bhajans during my walks. (I'm hoping that there's nothing sacriligious about this idea.) Any suggestions of bhajans that are quite vigorous straight through? There is one to Lord Siva sung by Big Swami that has a chorus "Siva, Siva, Hare, Hare," but I don't know its proper title. Rosetta
Guest guest
Namah Shivayah I listen to bhajans during my hour-long treadmill workouts as well. I find that it really gives me a purpose to walking and makes it become a moving meditation of sorts. I'm sure that Amma would not have a problem with this idea as she wants us to think of God all the time! Here are a few of the bhajans on my workout mp3 list: Jai Jai Kali Ma Jago Ma Ananda Janani (This one is great!!) Suni He Amma Amma Taye With love, Erica
Guest guest
The "Rememberance" cd has lots of really great fast-paced bhajans, including "Jhilam Jhilam" and "Jai Ma Ambe." I love those vintage Amma tunes... She rocks. love, Prajna --- rosaroja24 <rosaroja24 wrote: > Can anyone suggest names of some bhajans that are > very fast-paced, > like Jhilan Jhilam? Guest guest
"Amrita Vahini", aka the boat race song (Bhajanamritam IV, p. 20-22) is about as fast-paced as it gets! But you're likely SOL if you want to hear it on your Walkman, CD player or iPOD. For some reason it is not on any tape or CD. Keval
