Dear ckeniley ~ I did not know of this one, but I am sure it is wonderful. I

didn't care for the Hare Krishna version either. The one I read was

translated by Swami Satyananda Saraswati (Shree Maa's sidekick), and is

excellent. He

has been busily translating many ancient texts as he feels strongly that the

ancient truths should be made available in the sense of the understanding of

It is nice to meet you again in another forum.

 

I would like to humbly introduce myself to everyone as Nanda, a

devotee of Shree Maa and Swami Satyananda Saraswati of Napa,CA.

 

I have known beloved Ammachi longer (the first time I met Her in

India) than I have known Shree Maa, and I have been blessed to get

mantra diksha from Her. I am fortunate to consider Her as one of my

Gurus and I meet her every time when She visits the area that I live

in the US.

 

I have been reading the posts in this esteemed forum and find it a

warm and loving group. My best wishes to this lovely satsang.

 

The reason I am writing today is to clarify on Linda's comment when

referring to Swami Satyananda Saraswati as "Shree Maa's sidekick". I

would like to humbly mention that Swamiji is a wonderful, learned

and powerful person who is a spiritual giant in his own right.

Certainly not anyone's "sidekick". Both Swami Satyananda Saraswati

and Shree Maa are equally committed to sadhana and service to the

world, and they are lovingly referred to as the Guru and the Goddess

respectively and respectfully.
