Many devotees stay up til Amma leaves the room the night before Devi. How can this pace be maintained?... Dear GeorgeSon ~ this list that you wrote was so very well thought out (probably learned through experience) and so coherently written that I wonder if we could have a folder in the files section called "Amma Tour Tips." I don't know who moderates the group, so I don't know who to ask or if any individual member can place a folder. But I think this information really ought to be saved for future people who will be going on tour, like me, for example. : ) Thank you so much ~ Linda
Guest guest
Dear Linda: Thank you for the kind thoughts. Many of the "suggestions" are from experience. However the majority were from Brothers and Sisters who shared their tips on that long journey into the night. For example sitting next to Amma to attain Shakti was suggested by many experienced. Have been dead tired but just sitting near Her and voila. Seva seems to be a strange way to gain shakti. However it works! Others on this list have said this as well. In fact, in the wee hours Seva seems to work even better. I like doing flower petalling Seva at the very far end of Devi Bhava. This involves tearing up the offered flowers from the entire evening into fragments. These become the petals Amma throws out during the Amma Taye parade. As I tear the petals (behind stage)it is nice to realize that Amma will be holding them in Her hands for the auspicious finale. In San Ramon the petalling can occur at 11:00 am and somehow am able to perform. With Mothers Grace, GeorgeSon P.S. Mike Brooker is possibly the moderator. I do not know if Kandar is still moderating.
