Dear Erica:

 

Viewed the photo of the prayer list and am profoundly touched.

 

In 2004 I was given the opportunity to bring a basket of fruit to Amma on behalf

of the San Ramon snack shop. The purpose was to have it blessed by Amma. Once

the basket is blessed the snack shop sells the fruit to devotees as Prasad.

 

It was my first experience bringing an item for conversion into Prasad. I was a

bit startled that the blessing took the form of Amma showering the fruit basket

with flower petals. That was it. That made it Prasad!

 

Everyone on the prayer list healthy or ailing, financially secure of in a down

period, You are now Prasad.

 

Amma told a story in Los Angeles. Amma said The Gopis of Brindavan went

through a period where they were jealous of each other. For example one Gopi

would see Krishna dancing with another Gopi and think why is He so interested in

her?. Lord Krishna being ever aware decided to change this internal jealousy.

 

He addressed the Gopis as a group as follows: "The peacock feather I wear is

considered sacred to many of you. If you have possession of one of my cast off

bracelets or feathers you hold it close to you and perhaps even place it on your

alter for worship. Remember that I have embraced or touched the hands of each

and every one of you. Please consider each other the equal to a peacock feather

or ornament"

 

That is my recollection of Amma's story from memory.

 

Amma told Erica that we are a Satsang. This is the Source Itself. She is the

Validator of validators.

 

I bow down to this extended family of Amma . May I see all who have

received Her darshan as Prasad.
