Dear sibling of Amma,

In the beeja "Hrim", the sounds "ha", "re" & "hmm", stand for the creative,

preservative & destructive aspects of Devi. Kali is also called "Hrim Kali".

All beejas effect ur chakras & the subtle body instantly. in fact, each beeja

influences a particular chakra. chanting a mantra (from Amma) with beejakshara

is like taking the right medicine for the illness. if u use beejas without

initiation, the medicine u might be taking might do more harm than good. if u

already have been initiated, u should be chanting the mantra with the beeja

correctly, or it might amount to misuse or incorrect use.. that again might lead

to to harm.

in fact, when vedic chanters or pujaris in india perform pujas or jagnas which

involves chanting of beejas, they have been instructed (traditionally) to chant

108 panjakshrari (siva mantra) after the ceremony to dilute the ill effects.

Amma's brihmacharis also do it (u can see them chant with the mala with 108

beads, after completion of pujas & homas).

we devotees, at times, call Amma's mantra as the booster rockets!! just the way

boosters take a rocket out of nature's gravity, the Mantra from Amma raises one

out of the nature's body consciousness instantly!!

japa siddhi is the state when u become one with the Mantra. u'll know it, when u

are there.

Her child

Re: to Sweta on syllable

It could be a shortcut or a shortcircuit. Amma specifically told me

that beejas like Hrim should not be chanted without initiation, I

think it is covered in one of the books also. But I also believe that

if you chant some beeja and something untoward happens, our Amma is

the fallback plan LOL.

Jai Maa!
