But then, all of a sudden, She jumped out at the woman, arms flying, with Her eyes bulging out and Her tongue waggling, laughing the entire time! Dear Group ~ I have felt drawn to the suggestion I made earlier in response to this post. I want to make a sankalpa to collect stories of Amma appearing as Kali. I checked my old digests, but I couldn't find the other two recent stories, and I especially would like to include the one about the swami who saw Amma as 30 ft. tall Kali. I don't know how many stories I might collect. I will leave that up to Amma's grace. If you belong to a satsang, perhaps you can check with your satsang members to see if anyone knows a story of this theme that can be sent to me on the digest or to my email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) It feels to me that once it looks like I am getting enough stories that it may become a book, I will write to Swami Dayamrita and tell him of my idea and ask permission to put this collection together and then turn it over to Amritapuri or the M.A. Center to publish. I want nothing for myself out of this, save for the joy of collecting these stories so they may be shared with other Amma devotees. There are many books in the Amma bookstore, many like "Awaken Children" series of a more general theme of various times in Amma's life, others are biographies, others still are stories of devotees personal experiences in coming to Amma, like Savriti Bess' "The Path of The Mother." But there are none that have stories of Amma as Kali. I read many years ago that Amma made a pilgrimage to, perhaps it was Dakshiniswar (sorry for the spelling), to worship Kali. It made a huge impresson on me as these stories are doing. So whoever has a story to share, please help me with this seva I feel called to do. Please be sure to include your name as I want to attribute the stories to actual people (your Amma name and your original name), and if you know the approximate date or year that the experience occurred. I am having a vision of a wonderful book for devotees, with these marvelous stories, and with illustrations. My heart feels very full as I write this, and tears are coming to my eyes; I see Amma smiling at me. Jai Ma ~ Linda

That way, they can periodically "review" and make suggestions along the way, instead of at the end which can be massive. The latter will not on;y be massive; chances are you may also not get the person around if you need more inputs from him/her. Just a suggesyion. Good luck! Jai Ma! Guest guest
Lindaji: In partial fulfullment of your sankalpa, here is a story on Amma appearing as Devi NOT Kali (arent they the same). My sister who lives in India, had a problem around the time of Amritavarsham. Now this was the time when 100's of 1000's of people were visiting Amma as well as tonnes of dignitaries. That night, she had a dream where Amma visited her and told her "Daughter, dont worry about the problem, I will take care of it. Dont worry". A few days later almost magically her problem had been solved ( I dont want to state what that is, but will just add that it was a major problem, one that could not be resolved easily). Inspite of all the important people around Amma, she could still have concern about someone as (relatively)insignificant as my sister So I said to her, now that Amma helped you out, please go and visit Amma sometime; I also suggested that she take mantra diksha from Amma. Time flies by and everytime my sister wants to go see Amma, there will be some obstacle or the other and months went by. Finally one day, Amma came in a dream again, she came as Devi dressed as in Devi bhava and initiated her in a devi mantra. Bear in mind that prior to this my sister had only mild reverence for Amma and could hardly be termed as an Amma devotee. Moral of the story: Amma is here to serve us not the other way around LOL. Amma like in Yogananda's poem "Hound of Heaven" is running after us to guide us and keep us safe. -yogaman Ammachi, nierika@a... wrote: > > Iswari wrote: > > "Amma, I've heard it said that You are Kali.
