To Linda: Dark Clouds appropriateness on Prayer List

I was blessed to attend the Question and Answer in L.A.

 

My head is still spinning from L.A. AMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Sisters and Brothers allow me to venture an opinion.

 

THE THREAT OF A MAJOR DISASTER IN 2005 IS DEFINITELY PRESENT.

 

Sorry to alarm some of you. We cannot put our heads in the ground like an

ostrich.

Amma wants strong calm detached devotees. Spiritual Life requires immense

strength.

 

My thinking on the prayer list viz. Dark Clouds is we should individually pray

each and every day for our Higher Power's grace in preventing or lessening the

impact of a major 2005 disaster.

 

Many around the world (outside of this list) pray in this manner at 7:00 pm

Pacific Time for World Peace.

 

I confess that I have not done this personally for quite a while. Always an

excuse.

After San Ramon and Los Angeles I firmly believe that I need to resume a Peace

Prayer at 7:00 pm Pacific time as TOP PRIORITY.

 

So Linda I orrer you my two centavos.

 

The course of action is to leave the Dark Clouds of 2005 on the prayer list for

those like myself who are too undisciplined to pray for Peace on a daily basis.

 

Nevertheless in San Ramon 2005 and L.A. 2005 Amma strongly encouraged us to

pray pray pray for grace to avert the next Tsunami like catastrophe.

 

Children be not afraid. Enjoy summer fun and sun. Just take a few

minutes out on your way back from the lake or ocean and pray to your Higher

Power to avert Dark Cloud calamity. This is my humble suggestion.

I very much appreciate the information you send to this list, especially since I

missed most of the retreat & evening talks in San Ramon. Do you recall Amma's

exact words?

Dear Sweta:

 

I hope to find my notes to give you the exact words.

My recollection is that Amma said the Tsunami did not indicate an

end to Her 2005 prediction made in Rhode Island a few years back.

 

Amma said that She still sees Dark Clouds ahead.

 

In L.A. Big Swami said pretty much the same during his Retreat

Satsang. Swami said Amma gave this as an answer to a reporter's

question.

 

Something to that effect.

I suggest we do the Lokaha chant for fifteen minutes at 7:00 pm

Pacific Time as much as possible.

Any time is ok of course. Amma was very straight forward. We need

to remain calm and pray for grace. No devotee can perish. Sri

Krishna/Amma assures this in the Bhagavad Gita.
