Guest guest
Namah Shivaya all, I read a beautiful incident in the new book "Sacred Journey" that I thought I should share with all of you , esp those of you who arent able to travel and see Amma . The story is about a poor servant girl, in kerala i guess ( i am not sure) who is yet to meet Amma . She has only heard of Amma, and has been longing to go meet Amma and visit the amritapuri ashram . Unfortunately she is very poor and works as a servant maid in a house where the employers are very strict and do not give her permission to go. Try as she might she hasnt been able to go see Amma. Once a group of people in her town aranged for a trip to viit Amritapuri and attend a Devi Bhava darshan. They told the servant girl that they would take her too. The girl was eagerly waiting for the day , in joyous anticipation that she would finally meet Amma. But it was not to be. The employers again refused permission, and the poor girl couldnt go. While everyone else left the house, she was left behind crying. She was weeping bitter tears in her room , longing to see Amma, when she suddenly sensed someone's presence in the room. She looked up in wonder and , right there , in front of her - Amma appeared . Amma was sitting on a decorated chair, in a green sari, adorned with crown and all, in Devi Bhava. Amma called the girl near Her, and gave her darshan. After giving her a warm embrace, Amma told her " Dont worry my child, I am always with you ", Amma vanished. The girl was overjoyed and wonderstruck. When her friends and relatives returned, she asked them if Amma had been wearing a green sari for the Devi bhava. And they were amazed at how the girl knew what sari Amma was wearing. It seems it is now 4 years since the girl had this vision of Amma- and she is YET TO MEET AMMA in person !!! She has still not managed to go to amritapuri or meet Amma, but she now does not feel the need to do so. She says that she knows that Amma is with her and her heart is full . To all of you who arent able to see Amma- your tears of longing for her are bringing Amma so close to you- you perhaps are more in Her presence , through the power of your longing , than many of us who manage to see Her physically. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Bala, Thank you so much for this wonderful story, and for thinking of those of us who can't be in Mother's physical presence. She is certainly in our hearts. I remember Mother saying that physical distance does not matter when there is pure love. Jai Ma!
