Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,

Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received

many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of

you for participating in this seva.

Because of something I read on the Amritapuri website that Amma said, I have

removed the "Dark Time that Amma predicted for 2005." It seems She was

referring to the tsunami and its aftermath.

Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or

inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I

am

saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say

their

names.

The names for this week's Prayer Group are:

For World Peace

For the world ~ that we may remember who we are

For the Transformation of white supremacy

For American Troops in Foreign Lands

For the Welfare of Bhu Devi, our Mother Earth

For all those still affected by the tsunami that struck Asia

Then people can proceed with their prayer, whatever they wish it to be.

Some of the suggestions are:

* to say the Aum Amriteswaryai Namah (a mala or as many or as few as is

comfortable)

* to say your own mantra given by Amma, or some other mantra you feel

especially drawn to

* to say the 108 Names of Amma

* to pray in any other way that suits you

* to say the Mahamrtumjaya Mantra (I suggest 21 times, but again, as many

or as few as is comfortable.

Mantra: tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivarddhanam

urruvarukamiva bandhanan mrtyor mukshi ymamrtat

It has been suggested that people could use these names and continue to

pray each day or any one or more days during the week, however,

the official PRAYER GROUP DAY will be SUNDAY.

I would like to suggest, and again this is only a suggestion that people

can do or not do, that we end with:

Om Lokaah Samastaa Sukhinoh Bhavantu (May all Beings be Happy)

and

Shant Shanti Shanti

Dear Linda,

Actually, at the class Saturday morning in LA, Swamiji said that a reporter the

day

before had asked Amma if she still saw dark clouds or if they had dissipated.

He

said that Amma responded that she still saw dark clouds. So I think it might be

good to keep this (in some form) on the list.

have cleared up or relieved the situation for which the prayer was asked.

Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. Amma's Love is working

through your prayers. And so many people took the prayer list with them when

they

see Amma. I think perhaps it was given to Her for blessing on nearly every

stop on the American Tour. How can we be lost, afraid or disconnected when our

Mother loves us so very much. Jai Ma

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,

Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received

many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of

you for participating in this seva.

When Amma was in the United States, so many people took the prayer list to

Her for blessing, and She graced us by blessing it each time. Now someone who

lives near Amritapuri is going to take this week's list to Amma for blessing.

I am speechless with awe, wonder, and joy at the Love that Amma has shown for

the needs of Her children over and over.

Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or

For the people starving in Nigeria, especially the children

For the "dark cloud" time in 2005 still seen by Amma

Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,

Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received

many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of

you for participating in this seva.

Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or

inwardly,

whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am

saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say

their

names.

P.S. Amma's name has never appeared on the prayer list before, for are our

prayers not directed to Her? Yet I had a strong feeling to put Her name on

this week so, apart from whatever prayer seva each of us does, we can be

thankful that Amma was protected and our Beloved Mother is with us, here on

Earth,

to direct our prayers to. ~ Linda

Re: This Week's Prayer List

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,

Please Note: my computer is sick and at the doctors. I am at the local cyber

cafe updating this week's prayer list. I did not have the time to go through all

the digests I havn't read, which has now reached a prodigious number, so if any

prayer requests have been left out, I humbly apologize. I may have my computer

back this afternoon or tomorrow morning, and then could re-check. If I find any

additional names prayers have been requested for, I will add them and re-post

the prayer list. Most of you are used to this by now as I have on several

occasions made errors and have had to repost the list. In this case it will say:

Prayer List ~ Use This One in the subject line. Thank you all for your patience.
