Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. Because of something I read on the Amritapuri website that Amma said, I have removed the "Dark Time that Amma predicted for 2005." It seems She was referring to the tsunami and its aftermath. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names. Guest guest
Dear Linda, Actually, at the class Saturday morning in LA, Swamiji said that a reporter the day before had asked Amma if she still saw dark clouds or if they had dissipated. He said that Amma responded that she still saw dark clouds. So I think it might be good to keep this (in some form) on the list. In Amma, Jyotsna nierika wrote: Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received many notes from people saying the prayers are helping and, in many cases, have cleared up or relieved the situation for which the prayer was asked. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. Amma's Love is working through your prayers. And so many people took the prayer list with them when they see Amma. I think perhaps it was given to Her for blessing on nearly every stop on the American Tour. How can we be lost, afraid or disconnected when our Mother loves us so very much. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. When Amma was in the United States, so many people took the prayer list to Her for blessing, and She graced us by blessing it each time. Now someone who lives near Amritapuri is going to take this week's list to Amma for blessing. I am speechless with awe, wonder, and joy at the Love that Amma has shown for the needs of Her children over and over. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, We are starting a new Prayer List, for a new quarter, September 4 through December 25. Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. I have received so many notes from people saying that the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. I am sure that Amma knows of this, even when She does not see the list, because She has blessed the Prayer List many, many times. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names. Mantra: tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivarddhanam urruvarukamiva bandhanan mrtyor mukshi ymamrtat It has been suggested that people could use these names and continue to pray each day or any one or more days during the week, however, the official PRAYER GROUP DAY will be SUNDAY. I would like to suggest, and again this is only a suggestion that people can do or not do, that we end with: Om Lokaah Samastaa Sukhinoh Bhavantu (May all Beings be Happy) and Shant Shanti Shanti
Guest guest
Re: This Week's Prayer List Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Please Note: my computer is sick and at the doctors. I am at the local cyber cafe updating this week's prayer list. I did not have the time to go through all the digests I havn't read, which has now reached a prodigious number, so if any prayer requests have been left out, I humbly apologize. I may have my computer back this afternoon or tomorrow morning, and then could re-check. If I find any additional names prayers have been requested for, I will add them and re-post the prayer list. Most of you are used to this by now as I have on several occasions made errors and have had to repost the list. In this case it will say: Prayer List ~ Use This One in the subject line. Thank you all for your patience. We are starting a new Prayer List, for a new quarter, September 4 through December 25. And again, we have a terrible tragedy, with many victims to collectively offer prayer for, during our regular Prayer Day, Sunday, and any other time we choose. The names for this week's Prayer Group are: Amma (for physical safety, good health for Her physical body, and for Her welfare) Olu Phillips-Alonge Amritavarshini's Pacific Northwest Sister Vidinyu Ambani Kingsford and Duke and Kevin Ameyaw Amber Arends Amritavarshini Elan & his mother, Tustil Ananda (for shelter & support) Joan & Joe Avallone Nicholas & Joelle Baranowski (for protection, health & happiness) Judy Bar-Shimon (for any healing or assistance with her auto-immune disease) Judy's Boyfriend Iva and Dennis Carras Michael Caruso Kok Heng Cheong's nephew Chris Amy Dawn Julianna Dean (for healing) Koh Young Seng Donn Stanley Dowbnia Koh Koon Ea Emma Erin (recently deceased), Erin's 16 mo. old son, Richard Howard & Tere Donnelly, Richard's Grandmother Barbara Ferguson Gabrielle Nancy Gaedke Eleanor Gallagher Patrick Gallagher George M.
