Om Namah Shivaya

Hare Om

Dear Prajna:

I feel that Amma is ignoring you for another reason.

In fact, Amma has avoided eye contact with me for this tour as well.

Therefore I will tread on safer soil, and speak for my own experience. What is

yours Prajna may be different.

Prajna alludes to Amma's Kali-ness.

Kali is a fierce warrior (no doubt). Put what is her prey?

Who is Kali slaying? This fallen soul feels it is my EGO.

With Love,

GeorgeSon

Namah Shivaya Prajna,

Thanks so much for your latest report.

Mother is certainly working on you. As my husband says, you're getting

your money's worth!

I love what you said about Her lap extending everywhere and is everyone.

Due to illness, I can't be with her - so far. Want to make it to LA.

We'll see. It is the

same lesson for me. Last Summer She made it so clear to me that it is

all about

love, our hearts.

But Her physical form os sooo hard to resist. She is so lovable, so

charming, so

beautiful, so funny, so loving. It is impossible to get enough of that

personality,

that face, those incredible eyes, her soft, beautiful skin, those arms

that hold

so gently and firmly, Her voice speaking softly in our ear, the

wonderful feeling

of being so totally loved, even when She refuses to look at us. Close

your eyes

and think about it and you are having Her Darshan all over again. And we

can do

this whenever we want. I believe that we are having Her Darshan just by

remembering

Her Darshan.

And yet we still want that physical Darshan again and again because we

(I should say I am)

still so attached to the world, the outside, even though I know better..

Oh Mother!

Jai Ma!

Yep, George, She is pursuing my ego like a fox after a hare. There's nowhere to

hide! She's coming to get me! Aaahhhhrrgggghhhh (anguished screams)!!!!!!!!

You know, I don't know if any of you are or were dancers, but I used to do

ballet and modern professionally, and there is an interesting point which comes

up in Martha Graham's choreography. There is a classic Graham movement called

"Pleadings," where the dancer contracts the abdominals, as if being punched in

the stomach, and then exposes the jugular and wrists. She said that when two

animals fight to the death, there is a moment when one of them realizes it is

going to die, and in that moment it surrenders and exposes the jugular. She was

fascinated with this type of surrender (although she referred to herself as

"incredibly egotistical") and it was a recurring theme in her choreography.

So I am praying for the moment when I can just bare my neck to Kali Ma and let

Her bring down that great sword, but for now I still find myself struggling...

getting weaker and weaker....

Mercy, Ma,

Prajna

Dear Prajna:

Here are some quotes to help stiffen the spine in the midst of the

Kali inter-action.

"This is no time for ease and comfort. It is the time to dare and

endure.

Winston Churchill

This is courage; to bear unflinchingly what heaven sends.

Euripides

Yes, I've also felt Her deliberately ignoring me, in the service of poking at my

ego.

I remember Dayamrita Swami talking about this a couple of years ago in NYC. I

can't recall

if he was describing before or after he became a swami, when Amma began ignoring

him

completely and how excruciatingly painful it was for him. Even though I felt

compassion

for his experience, I also felt relieved that it wasn't just me She was ignoring

at times! ;-)

I've felt two things....one, in terms of the desire for her attention, the

desire to feel

special...and one in terms of finding internally what I was seeking externally.
