I have always wanted to get married by Amma. What a beautiful ceremony. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us. Guest guest
I was surprised to discover a year or two ago that someone had already beat me to it! This entry is on the group's "links" page: Shara & Christopher's Wedding with Ammachi Images of Amma marrying two people http://www.bigbrother.net/~pandora/Ammawedding/ Yes, being married by Amma was a tremendous blessing (as was our "regular" ceremony, which was only a few days before that!)...and it amazes me how, every so often, people still come up to me and say, "Hey, didn't you get married by Amma that last year that She was in the church in NYC?" I still remember the mad dash to get everything together after Amma said yes and making the garlands and the Indian ladies who helped me into my sari, because I had absolutely no clue how to wear one and was very glad for the petticoat, because I was convinced that I was going to trip and that it would all come undone! ;-) I remember "Jai Ma Ambe" was playing, just as we were about to go up. =) Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures...it'll be five years this NYC Devi Bhava! =) Namah Shivaya, Iswari Ammachi, nierika@a... wrote: > > Iswari wrote: > > yes that was us...with respect to both the 3am Devi Bhava darshan and the > wedding pictures > > > Dear Iswari ~ that was you getting married in the pictures? My wife and I were married by Amma in Santa Fe during the 2001 Summer Tour. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. During our wedding they played the Kerala Boat Song (I can't remember the official name). It was so joyous. Jai Maa! Aravind __ Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. Guest guest
Oh, I love that song. They played it at one of the weddings in Rhode Island last year! =) Jai Ma, indeed! =) Any other Amma-wedded ones, here? What was playing during your ceremony?
