Guest guest
Dear Amma Family: Swamini Krishnamrita Prana is Amma's one of Amma's intimate personal assistant full fledged Swami's.. In Hinduism a Mahatma's attendant is possibly the Highest Seva imaginable. She has lived in close proximity to Amma for twenty three years Most of you have seen Swamini either on stage with Amma live, or photographically. Swamini joined Amma's Ashram in 1982 and for most of that time has cared for Amma's bodily needs. Below is yet another excerpt from Swamini's brand new 2005 book entitled "Sacred Journey" As Prajna posted earlier, it appears to be a must read for Amma devotees. >From "Sacred Journey" by Swamini Krishnamrita Prana on Page 51 "The most important thing Amma is teaching us is how to love. It is the greatest thing that we can aspire to learn, and yet it is probably what we have understood the least. It is much easier to learn how to meditate, chant or do seva, than to truly love. But, unless we have learned how to love, nothing else really matters. Many years ago, Amma was talking to me, and I wanted to talk about tapas and vairagya with Her. But she kept on bringing the subject back to love. I was a little annoyed by this because I wanted to talk about something "deeper" with Her. But I could not get Amma away from the subject of love. Finally I said to Her, "But I don't want love!" Amma's reply was, "Then what are you existing for?" Clearly, from Her point of view, love is not only the essence of spirituality, it is the essence of life itself. Om, GeorgeSon Discover Find restaurants, movies, travel & more fun for the weekend.
