I have shared this on this list before. Please forgive this if you recall my

past post.

 

During a 2001 Darshan Amma began to laugh at someones remark while giving me

darshan. It was one of the longest laughs I have ever seen from the Beloved

(possibly two minutes plus) . I was in ecstasy because this allowed me to have

a super-long Darshan.

 

Amma hid in my shoulder blade bobbing with glee.

I thought how odd that the Divine Mother is seeking a hiding place from this

lowly son.

 

You are quite right Prajna. Her innocent mannerism of "hiding" her face while

laughing has an indescribable charm. Since I could feel Her face by my shoulder

it felt like a giggling child but even more innocent.

 

Last weekend at the Q and A I also noticed Amma hide Her face and also found it

disarming and cute.

 

Seeing Her thunderous laugh made the entire retreat explode into laugh-a-loka.

I almost rolled on the ground.

 

Incidentally I suffered significant physical pain throughout the Retreat. The

laugh filled Q & A was quite medicinal.
