Guest guest
Thanks to everyone's encouragement on this list and and amazing friend I will be going to Washington D.C (actually Arlington VA) to Devi Puja and Devi Bhava and hopefully with Amma's grace receive a mantra and experience all this for the 1st time. I am so excited I can barely stand it! I was telling my friend, who lives 2 1/2 hours away that I wanted so badly to go, but I was having trouble finding someone to watch the kids for 3 hours until my husband came home. (we just moved here a month ago and I really dont know anyone yet). She offered to drive 2 1/2 hours to my house to watch my kids for 3 hours and then drive 2 1/2 hours back. She said she could tell how much this meant to me and that she is happy to do it for me. I will have to be back before my husband leaves for work in the morning (about 7am)...so I will have to leave D.C. about 4am. What time does everything usually end? I remember someones says it goes all night. I am going though!!!! Yippeee!!! Thank you everyone for all your encouragement! Kristie
Guest guest
Way to go! They usually end around 9 or 10 in the morning, so you'll miss the end. You may have a hard time tearing yourself away, but it's great you'll be able to go for most of it. Sorry I won't be there to meet you. My friends Ken Steben and Padmini Pooleri are among the main organizers. Find them if you need help of any kind. Give us a report of your experience after the program.
