Om Namah Shivaya:

Feeling sleep deprived today.

Can share one highlight of the Retreat (OK maybe two or more)

Amma held the Day 2 Question and Answer outdoors on the Campus Lawn roughly one

hundred and fifty yards from the Dining Hall.

I cherish being outdoors with Amma, so this is quite special. After the

question and answer session ended Amma held a sing along with the Retreatants.

It was a short version of Hare Bol. The hundreds gathered on the lawn were now

soaring to higher planes.

Mother's car pulled up to drive Her to the Hall. Once at the Hall Amma serves

dinner to the hundreds of Retreatants with Her own hands.

The Holy Mother waved the car away and decided to walk on foot those blessed 150

yards. We all scrambled to get close to Her. My exhilaration at getting to

walk with Her outdoors to a joyous dinner is obvious to some of you. I was

fortunate to be near Her most of the walk.

Once in the Dinner Hall Amma handed me a plate of scrumptious vegetarian food.

After imbibing dessert (vanilla ice cream) Amma sat in the children's section

(most under the age of ten) and hand fed the children a large piece of Indian

Style Bread. The baby's were as relaxed in Amma's arms as if it were their own

birth mother.

Once again I was lucky to be situated only a few feet from Her and enjoyed an

excellent view. Normally I get to view the childrens party from a long distance

through myaging far-sighted orbs. Amma ate a few spoonfuls of the curry and

most of the vanilla ice cream scoop..

Too bad I missed meeting George, Prajna and yogaman in seattle.. the seattle

retreat was great .. went there on friday night and had a sweet darshan .. when

madhu and I went up for drshan i cracked a joke about her to Amma.. Amma roared

with laughter and put Her hand in Her mouth as if She couldnt control the

laughter- i thought that was nice- until a few minutes later i was told that

David ( Amma's photographer) actually caught the moment on his camera and they

sold the picture of Amma roaring with laughter ....

that made my day- i had made the Divine Mother roar with laughter and i have

a photo of that!!! I thought - gee-- i managed to make the Divine Mother

happy at least for a minute and got Her to laugh so much - surely i should get

'moksha ' for this !!!!

in any case, i was happy to be able to tell a joke and make Her laugh ... if

not anything else, i got to serve Her this way ..

the next day the question and answer sesson was great- as you said, the new

guiy who asked Amma the question about becoming 'love' was very innocent ..

Amma actually replied " everyone has the sugar of love already within them-

but the problem is there is too much salt added !!! "( the salt of our ego that

hides the sweetness of the sugar within). i loved the answer..

Thank you so much for sharing.

There are a few of us here soooooooooooo thirsty to hear what Amma talked

about at the retreat. We are checking our email constantly.

Anything you can remember would be so helpful.

Usually she speaks at the beginning of the retreat and at the end.

In Love Service
