Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, 2 years ago, Amma gave a spiritual name to me. Although I can't afford to change my name legally right now, I want to use the sspiritual name instead of my legal name. Does anyone have experiences to share about making this transition? Can I change the name written on my checks? I'm concerned about coworkers and clients at my work place getting confused. I work in a mental health field, & atleast one coworker may think I have a mental disorder, for wanting to use a different name ... seriously! Some people who are into yoga know my spiritual name, but still use my legal name, even when I sign my e-mails "Sweta." Any input about this will be appreciated! Thanks Sweta Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected. Take the tour
Guest guest
Swetaji, There is a book by the Saiva Siddhanta church titled "How to become a Hindu" or something like that (available for free at www.hindu.org). There were several chapters on issues relating to name changes esp. for a westerner. You could also contact them directly- they are very resourceful and will most probably find one of their church members to correspond and clarify things for you. -yogaman Ammachi, wrote: > Namah Shivaya, > > 2 years ago, Amma gave a spiritual name to me.
